Description
Pisac, whose name in Quechua means “partridge”, is a district known for its natural beauty and rich history. Here we will explore its extensive agricultural terraces and impressive Inca architecture. This site was part of the Qhapaq Ă‘an, the ancient Inca road system that connected important centers such as Cusco with the Amazon rainforest and Manu. At noon, we head to Urubamba to enjoy a buffet lunch with the best of Peruvian cuisine.
Itinerary
DAY 1: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY – AGUAS CALIENTES
We start early with the excursion to the Sacred Valley at 7:30 a.m. We will pick up passengers at their hotels and head first to the Archaeological Center of Pisac, just 45 minutes from Cusco.
Pisac, whose name in Quechua means “partridge,” is a district known for its natural beauty and rich history. Here we will explore its extensive agricultural terraces and impressive Inca architecture. This site was part of the Qhapaq Ă‘an, the ancient Inca road system that connected important centers such as Cusco with the Amazon rainforest and Manu. At noon, we head to Urubamba to enjoy a buffet lunch with the best of Peruvian cuisine.
In the afternoon, we will visit Ollantaytambo, a strategically located archaeological complex that was both a military and religious center during the Inca Empire. Its imposing structures and urban design reflect its historical and cultural importance. Here we will board the train to Aguas Calientes, a picturesque town where we will spend the night.

DAY 2: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
Early in the morning we head to the bus station to ascend to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. During the short 25-minute ride, you will feel the excitement in the air, as if the mountains were whispering ancient secrets.
Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, we will witness a stunning sunrise over the ruins. We begin our guided tour of this architectural and natural wonder, where our expert guide will immerse us in the fascinating history and architecture of the citadel. Machu Picchu, with its perfect combination of engineering and harmony with the environment, offers a spectacle of agricultural terraces, temples, plazas and aqueducts, all surrounded by majestic mountains.
The guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours, during which we will explore every corner and discover the secrets that this historical treasure holds. After the tour, we return by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch and then take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our team will be waiting to take us back to Cusco, thus culminating our exciting tour of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu in 2 days.
